(a) What is the wavelength of an X-ray photon of energy 10.0keV?
(b) What is the wavelength of a gamma-ray photon of energy 1.00 MeV?
(c) What is the range of energies of photons of visible light with wavelengths 350–700 nm?
Reference : Kenneth S.- Krane pag 100 chapter 3
Solución:
$$\lambda = \frac{hc}{E}$$
a) $\lambda=\frac{[4.14\times 10^{-15}eV s ]\times[3\times10^8m/s]}{10keV}=0.123nm$
b) $\lambda=\frac{[4.14\times 10^{-15}eV s ]\times[3\times10^8m/s]}{1 MeV}=0.00123nm$
c) $E_1=\frac{[4.14\times 10^{-15}eV s ]\times[3\times10^8m/s]}{350nm}=3.5eV$
$E_2=\frac{[4.14\times 10^{-15}eV s ]\times[3\times10^8m/s]}{700nm}=1.8eV$
